<Runs With Scissors> is a Social Raiding guild on the Balnazzar (PvP)-US Realm of World of Warcraft that focuses on a friendly, fun environment. We do try and raid and progress in the game but our main focus is not gear or progression, it is fun first, all the rest second.

We will be performing scheduled maintenance in our Denver, Colorado location which will require an IP Address change to your services. We expect services to be interrupted for a few minutes while we migrate your services to a new machine. If you are using custom hostname services your hostname will automatically update and point to the new ip address. Please look below to obtain the new ip address of your services.

While this maintenance event is scheduled for two hours we do not expect services to be affected for the full duration. Once your services on the old ip address go offline your services should become available on the new ip address listed within 10 minutes. Because of the nature of the event we expect the maintenance event to take the full two hours each customer should only be affected for 10-20 minutes while their services are migrated.

PLEASE NOTE: Because this is a scheduled maintenance event fail-over services will not be available.

Blizzard has announced at Blizcon 2011 that the next expansion to World of Warcraft will be “Mists of Pandaria”! Here are just a few key items:

• New Race: Pandaren (both on Horde and Alliance)
• New Class: Monk (which will be a hybrid class such as the druid)
• New Talent System
• Scenarios (think instanced group quests)
• Pet Battle System
• Three new raid dungeons
• Nine new Instances
• Three new battlegrounds
• One new Arena

It took a little more than an hour, but we got our kill. Spent a few hours learning Rag… Cant wait to get at him next week!

I wanted to update RWS progress through Firelands. We are currently 5/7, and see little reason we wont down Staghelm later tonight. We spent a night wiping on him last week, finally getting him down to 5% while learning the fight. This should translate to a (dare I say it) early kill this evening, and hopefully a few hours starting on Rag.
5/7 currently is good for a tie for 10th on server (11th overall according to wowprogress) which is about 10 spots higher than we were during the 4.1 Progression paths.

The progression team is getting pretty impressive, but the progression rise also has another tremendous benefit. We are getting a little more respect on server and the possibility of a 2nd 10 man team starting up is slowly growing more realistic. It would still need someone to step up to lead the group, but it is now possible.

Patch 4.2: New PvP Mounts for Rated Battlegrounds
For more information on Patch 4.2 mounts, check out our preview.

In order to best accommodate players under the unique play style of Rated Battlegrounds, we’ll be offering all-new PvP ground mounts — the Vicious War Wolf (Horde) or Vicious War Steed (Alliance) — in a unique way. If you want to sit your knickers on these sweet new rides come patch 4.2, Rage of the Firelands, you must earn achievements for winning either 75, 150, or 300 Rated Battlegrounds.

One account-bound mount will be awarded for each of these achievements earned, so if you win 300 Rated Battlegrounds with a character, you’ll be afforded the opportunity to give that character and two of your alts each a wolf or steed. Since these mounts are tied to each achievement and not to your placement on the competitive ladder, they will be awarded instantly rather than at the end of each season as with Arena mounts. Your Rated Battleground wins tracked for these achievements are cumulative and are not reset with each season, so you can work toward the reward at your own pace.

For those of you storming the front lines, protecting vital tactical positions, and keeping your teammates alive in Rated Battlegrounds, we wish you the best of luck in obtaining awards that befit your show of valor!

Now Guild Recruiting will have a  new face with the new tool from Blizzard in patch 4.1: The Guild Finder!

The new tool will allow guilds to specify what types of guild they are (Raiding, PvP, Role Playing etc) and a Description of your Guild. Players with same interests can browse through these like they are at the Auction House!

The Members area of rwsguild.com is now available!

In the members area you will be able to Sign up for raids, view your Profile, BKP activity, BKP Balances and set your raid availability. More features are being worked on including a more advanced profile. We are hoping to make a profile that will allow you to “register” your Alt character names and some personal info if you choose to share it.

We have also imported all the old BKP totals from the old database. However some members may not have been imported if their old account was not imported. If you would like to have your old BKP imported manually please contact an officer.
