Affliction Gear Rankings are linked here, and statistical weights are given.
Affliction Rotation is more of a 'priority' game then anything. The important thing to note is that by 'clipping' dots you're losing the final tick. Here's a visual Example:
Cast - Spell - Spell - Spell - Spell Cast - Spell - Spell - Spell - Spell
If you clip a dot it looks like this
Cast - Spell - Spell - Spell - Cast - Spell - Spell - Spell - Spell
Cast: is your casting time, and when the spell lands. Spell: is when it deals damage the - is the pause between hits. So a clipped dot has twice the time in between damage pulses. On certain spells clipping doesn't hurt you as bad, but for Curse of Agony (CoA) it is very important to not clip this dot - because most of its damage is the final tick. It's ok to Clip Corruption and Unstable Affliction because clipping these spells are not as penalizing as clipping CoA - Though it should be avoided if possible.
Opening for Single Target DPS: Life Tap > Corruption > Curse of Agony > Haunt > Unstable Affliction
Now comes the Priority Queue
1.) Haunt
2.) Corruption
3.) Unstable Affliction
4.) Curse of Agony
5.) Lifetap (Only if the Buff is gone)
6.) Shadow Bolt (If target is above 25% Health)
7.) Soul Drain (If target is Below 25% Health)
Because your Talent Tree allows you to reset Corruption whenever you cast Shadowbolt or Haunt, You can often forget about Corruption unless a blood lust causes it to go away quicker. Haunt and Shadow Bolt can not be Clipped, and can be cast liberally. Haunt should be cast whenver it's CD is up, which is why it has a priority rating of 1. Corruption is your highest damage and unstable affliction is second. Basically reapply these as they run out. Curse of Agony should only be used if Curse of the Elements is not in use. So in all of the above examples replace Curse of Elements(CoE) with CoA if no one else is doing CoE.
I've listed the prefered Glyphs in the linked Talent Tree your prefered Pet should be the Felhunter, Don't forget Greater Spellstone and Fel Armor.
On AOE Pulls use Seed of Corruption, and Spam it. If Seed does not blow up before your other Seed hits, you can Apply Unstable Affliction or Immolate, and make sure your pet is on your target.

Demonology
Demonology Weighted stats are a bit different then affliciton.
Demonology is perhaps the easiest of all of the Warlock Talent Tree Specs, as far as cast rotation.
Opening for Single Target DPS: Life Tap > Corruption > Curse of Agony
Demonolgy also has a Priority Queue:
1.) Corruption
2.) Life Tap (if Buff is missing)
3.) Shadow Bolt (To get Debuff)
4.) Soul Fire (If Decimate Triggers)
5.) Immolate
6.) Curse of Agony
7.) Incinerate
Your Talent Tree allows you to cast Soul Fire at a faster speed, and without a Soul Shard, when the target is below 35% health. It's important to time either an incinerate, or a shadowbolt to hit your target and send them below 35% health so that you can immediately start spamming Soul Fire. It's also important to note that Decimate is a 'timed' buff on you, so you can potentially open up the next fight with a Decimated Soul Fire.
Truly Demonology is the easiest spell rotations, to make it even easier you can remove immolate and incinerate and replace them with shadowbolts.
Your primary goal is to buff the raid by your pet completing critical strikes, and to unleash fury during decimate. You essentially supply the new role of Elemental Shaman by buffing all raid members with roughly +350 spell power. Everyone but the 'Physical DPS' will appreciate the buff.
Your pet will add roughly 4-600 DPS by itself, and because of 'Demonic Pact' he'll give you another 10% spell power, which is a significant increase. You need to keep your pet alive and active at all times. If you pet dies and you can get him up by use of (ability) then use it. Also a very popular macro that I like is :
Metamorphisis: The reason why you're a Demon. This ability increases your total DPS by 20%, stack this up when you're doing your big blasts. ie, AOE or Soul Fire. So when you're normally criting for 15k with a soulfire it'll jump to 18k while you're a demon. With everything Proc'ing it's not uncommon to get 20k+ Crits.
I've listed the prefered Glyphs in the linked Talent Tree your prefered Pet should be the Felguard, Don't forget Greater Spellstone and Fel Armor.
