Overview

Runs With Scissors (RWS) is a Horde casual raiding guild that was started by a group of friends and family on the Balnazzar (PvP)-US Realm of World of Warcraft.

RWS is a casual guild. We are not a strict raiding guild nor a strict PvP guild (although we may have groups of people in the guild who pursue such interests). We are a guild that believes that players of World of Warcraft should be given the opportunity to experience multiple aspects of game play and that a lack of experience does not imply a lack of aptitude.

Every voice in RWS is equal, and we enjoy open conversation as long as you do not belittle your fellow members. If you have any ideas/suggestions/comments/etc, please submit them to the officers at any time. The Forum is a great place to post such items.

As a member of RWS with the tag over your character’s head, you represent RWS as a whole and are expected to act accordingly.

Ignorantia legis neminem excusat, ignorance of the law excuses no one. Every member is expected to be familiar with the guild policies and abide by them.

Respect

RWS strives for a friendly, non hostile guild. Treating each other with respect is non-negotiable! of course we all have a raport with each other and will joke around from time to time, but keep it friendly. Do not demean or insult one another. You may not get along with everybody in the guild, but you are expected to be polite and civil to your fellow guildmates.

If you feel that you have been harrassed, Please talk to a Guild Leader before quitting, we will make sure the behavior stops

Authority

Do not assume authority in this guild. Even if you know the rules and guidelines please let the Guild Leaders and Officers handle these matters. If you witness something and a Guild Leader or Officer is not around, let them know at a later date and let them handle it.

Raiding

RWS is a Casual raiding Guild. To learn more about our rading guidelines please read this post.

We use a custom loot system we came up with call BKP (Boss kill Points). To learn more about out BKP System Read This post. Loot in Raids should always be set to Master Looter, and Rare Item Drops.

Requests for help / gold

RWS highly discourages begging for run throughs in guild chat. We do not do this to be jerks, rahter to keep the frustration and harrasment to a minimum. It can be frustrating on both sides of this issue, we understand.

We do highly encourage asking if anyone would like to do something with you as a group. If you need assistance or would like a run through to get a quest / gear we have a system in place. Requests for assistance must be made in the "Help Requests" section of the Guild Forum.

Panhandling for gold will not be tolerated. If you need a loan for something specific like a mount then posting a message on forums or asking an officer will be ok. But don't expect a guarantee.

Guild Bank

The guild bank is not your personal profit center. it is for items you need to use or equip, not to sell or disenchant. If there is something you need in the bank that is in a tab you do not have access to you may make a request for this item on the forums or to an officer.

Contributing to the guild bank is highly appreciated. If you are taking from the guild bank, common courtesy dictates that you contribute though this is not a requirement.  You can also send low level items to our bank character RWSBANK. The guild bank tabs are broken down as following:

Tab 1: Open Tab. This tab is open and available to take things. Please realize when you put things here they may be taken out by just about anyone. If you are taking things from here please use common courtesy and only take things you need to use. If you would like something to disenchant or sell please ask permission first.
Tab 2: Mats. Enchanting, JC and Tailoring and such.
Tab 3: Quest items, Rep Items and gear
Tab 4: Locked down. Will be used for Raiding materials and Raiding rank

Activity

As a casual guild we do not require any amount of activity in game or in guild events. However to keep the guild roster manageable any members who do not log in for 3 months or more may be removed from the guild. If you are going to be gone for a long period please notify a Guild Leader or post a message on the Forum to avoid removal from the guild. If you are removed you may be later re-invited back in to the guild.

Alts

Due to our expanding roster, we will be only allowing one Alt character below level 70 per person.

Ranks

The Ranks and requirements in RWS are as follows:

• Exalted - Leaders / Founders of Guild
• Revered - Officers
• Raider - Raiders who meet the following requirements:
  • Have a total BKP of 50
  • Are registerd on forums and agree to check them regularly (once or twice a week)
  • Agree to use Teamspeak for raids
  • Agree to keep their gear current, gemmed and enchanted to the best of thier ability
  • Agree to keep informed on their class, boss strategies
  • Agree to do their best to show up to Raids they sign up for or notify officer or post on forums if they know they will not make the raid
• Honored - Veterans who meet the following requirements:
  • Level 80 on main character
  • Registered on forums
  • 4 months in guild OR 25 total BKP
• Friendly - Members
• Neutral - Recruits - members in new status and are in "trial" for 1-2 weeks
• Hated - Initial rank (Muted)
